Mekenna is a passionate skincare specialist with 4 years of experience performing skincare and body treatments in luxury spas. She recently moved to Tampa from Missouri to gain exposure and build onto her expertise. She is skilled in creating an inviting environment that embraces a wide-ranging clientele.Some of her interests involve anything health and wellness. She loves to work out daily, fuel her body with healthy gluten free/vegan foods, travel, outdoor adventures and play with her Frenchie puppy (Luka). She’s always up for a challenge and willing to push herself outside of her comfort zone. Mekenna’s own battle with nutrition and problematic issue with her skin has guided her to this profession and her passion to help others with similar issues. She ultimately wants to provide the best experience for her clients to leave feeling better than when they walked in the door.

Cristy Marks

Hi, I am Cristy Marks, a Cuban-born and Florida-raised Nurse Practitioner. I am a Gator at heart, growing up in Gainesville and attending the University of Florida for my undergraduate nursing degree. I went on to earn my Masters from the University of South Florida. I spent several years in Women’s Health and Infertility before moving to Aesthetic Medicine over 15 years ago. I firmly believe that “less is more” in the right places. With this in mind, I always strive to enhance each patient’s natural and unique beauty. I’ve had the honor of training with some top injectors in the aesthetic field and specialize in injectables such as “wrinkle relaxers” Botox, all types of fillers and PDO Threads. I am truly honored to join a team that values trust, honesty, safety, and ethical patient care.

Sharon Welsh

Hi, I am Sharon Welsh. I obtained my Bachelor’s in Nursing at the University of North Carolina, and continued on to the University of Florida for my Masters in Nursing and became an Advanced Nurse Practitioner. I have worked with Bay Area Women’s Care for more than 10 years, and have served the women in the Tampa Bay Area for more than 20 Years. I love being able to work with and support women throughout the beautiful, yet sometimes challenging process of aging. I am excited to be able to offer a full line of aesthetic services that will help my patients age gracefully and make them confident in their own skin. I have a passion for caring for others and look forward to working towards my patients’ individual needs and desired outcomes.

Patricia St. John

Hello, I’m Pat St. John. I went to Medical School at the University of Vermont, and spent the next four years learning the specialty of OB/GYN. I began my OB/GYN practice, Bay Area Women’s Care, in 1987 and have continued to treat women in the Tampa Bay area for the past thirty plus years. In 2013, I transitioned my office to a GYN only practice, allowing me to better serve our non-pregnant patients. During this time treating my patients, I have realized how many of my patients are looking for additional ways to look and feel their best, so Dr. Ruiz and I decided to open Bay Area Women’s Wellness, an office dedicated to making our patients feel good about themselves at any age. I have always enjoyed working with my patients to help them enjoy better health, and now I look forward to being able to offer safe and effective, non-invasive procedures which will help them live and age with the confidence they deserve.

Ivelisse Ruiz

Hi, I’m Ivy Ruiz. I was born and raised in San Juan, PR. I moved to Florida to obtain my bachelor and medical degree at the University of South Florida in Tampa. I completed 4 years of OB/GYN specialty training at the State University of New York in Buffalo. I have been caring for women in the Clearwater area since 1993 when I joined Diagnostic Clinic. I then joined Bay Area Women’s Care in 2017, where I have been able to continue to care for women’s needs through all stages of life. After many combined years of medical practice, Dr. St. John and I decided to open Bay Area Women’s Wellness, an office where we could provide the anti-aging, aesthetic procedures that our patients are looking for in a comfortable environment with the providers they trust. I look forward to now being able to assist all of my patients achieve their cosmetic goals and to empower them to take the best care of themselves.
